Lund is a small village and activities are mostly centered around the harbor where the water taxi, the hotel and Nancy’s Bakery are located.
Apart from accommodation, the Lund Hotel has a restaurant, pub and store. Although the latter has a fairly large selection, including wine and beer, there is always the option of Powell River for the needy shoppers among us. Also check out the native art in the gallery at the hotel.
If you are ‘hooked’ on your RV or on camping, there is the Sunlund By-the-Sea RV Park & Campground RV close to the Lund Retreat.
Nancy’s Bakery is an absolute must to visit. It offers way more than the excellent cinnamon buns and bread. Especially on summer evenings it is a real treat to sample the various exotic ‘tapas’ (snacks) with wine or beer. Whereas the background music is generally great, Ben (Nancy’s ‘buddy’) & friends will often entertain you with live music on weekend evenings in summer. Of course you can also view the scene and enjoy their music from the deck of the Lund Retreat.
Check out the great sweaters and interesting books at Pollen Sweaters, next to Terra Centric, upstairs of Nancy’s Bakery.
If you want to stretch your legs go for a stroll along the boardwalk with waterwheel and study some of those funny names (e.g. ‘schapenscheerder’) carved in the boardwalk or admire some of the beautiful boats moored at the public dock. Make sure you are there during sunsets because those are spectacular, unlike anything you have seen before.
